Getting Around

Oakfield Court is ideally situated to take advantage of the major transport routes in and around Manchester. Please find more information below, however if you need any further details we are always happy to help.

The Metrolink tram station is situated in the heart of Sale, just a 5 minute walk from Oakfield Court, and provides a very quick, frequent service from early in the morning to late in the evening from and to other towns in Greater Manchester linked by the tramway system.

Since the first lines to Bury and Altrincham opened in 1992, the Metrolink network has more than doubled in size, with lines to Eccles, MediaCityUK, Chorlton, Oldham, Rochdale, Didsbury and Ashton bringing passengers into the heart of Manchester city centre. Trams now run to 77 stops covering over 77km (48 miles) of track – and the multi-million pound expansion of the system continues – with new lines, a fleet of state-of-the-art trams, on-stop ticket machines and improved passenger facilities and information. Metrolink is the UK’s premier tram network.
